“A Vulnerable Guy” is an NYU Narrative Thesis film directed by Muhil Vaseekaran. The film was shot in February of 2024 in Downingtown, PA. The story follows a therapist who’s forced into doing a hitman job where he finds himself having a therapy session with his potential victim. Despite the comedic tone, it’s a film that aims to explore serious themes of toxic masculinity and the dangers of bottling up emotions. The project’s Director of Photography was Samuel Mitchell and Liam Podos served as the film’s gaffer. The film aims for a festival run in Fall 2025.
