My Own

“My Own” is a surrealist short film shot in the style of a silent French Noir. The screenplay for the film was adapted from the Walt Whitman poem “I Saw in Louisiana A Live-Oak Growing.” Taking you inside the head of a nameless boy, “My Own” attempts to express the loneliness that some experience during adolescence and to demonstrate that those feelings are much more common than many people believe.
